UptimeRobot is a solid, well-established monitoring tool with a large free tier. If you're comparing it to Pulsecima Pulse, here's where the two actually differ — not a "we're better at everything" pitch, just the parts that are genuinely different.
Quorum alerting
Pulsecima Pulse checks your URL from multiple independent regions. If one region sees a failure but the others still see your site as healthy, we treat that as a likely network blip near our own checker rather than a real outage — and we don't send you a false alert. Your dashboard shows a running count of how many false alarms this has caught for you. This is a specific mechanism built into how Pulsecima decides when to alert, not just "checking from more than one place."
Per-URL pricing instead of monitor-count tiers
UptimeRobot's paid plans are flat tiers with a monitor cap — e.g. its Solo plan caps out at 50 monitors, and going past that means jumping to the next tier. Pulsecima Pulse bills per active URL with volume discounts as you add more, so there's no sudden cliff where adding one more URL forces you onto a much more expensive plan. For a small number of URLs, this also means a lower entry price: Pulsecima's Basic tier starts at $1.49/URL/month, versus UptimeRobot's cheapest paid plan (Solo) starting around $9–10/month regardless of how few URLs you're monitoring.
At higher URL counts this can go the other way — UptimeRobot's flat tiers may end up cheaper once you're monitoring dozens of URLs. We'd rather say that plainly than pretend per-URL pricing wins at every scale.
